In this topic are some pictures of T-64 wrecks (if I understand correctly) in former East Germany.

Anyone who had an idea were? Pictures are from the 1996 era

Regards,
Lesley

When I left the British Army in Germany in 1991 I remember visiting a base (Hohne?) that had rows and rows of ex East German tanks under tarpaulins - I guess the ranges are where they ended up.

Perhaps here, at that location there are always some old tanks, APC, SPAAGs waiting to go to the ranges. Over the years there were indeed T-72's, PT-76s, BeobPz etc. In all those years I've seen only one T-55 on the ranges in Bergen. The T-55 came probably from the GBR barracks (not the Type 69).

I did take photos back then, but I don't know where they'd be now. If I find them I'll scan and post them.
