Was the turret of the AEC Mk III armoured car (also fitted on Lebanese Staghounds) the same as that fitted on the Cromwell tank minus the bolted on applique armour> Some sources suggest that it was a turret that only looked similar, which seems to be a lot of work for the same purpose. Both the Staghound & AEC III turrets had a bustle on the rear though the AEC version had a slightly shorter one.
