... well, Full-Reuenthal is probably off-topic here, but most of these pics are blurred and not the whole tank is on it.

Have you had a look at my pics yet? I've been in Reuenthal regularly, just 1h drive away...

Thanks to this thread I'm heading to Full and Thun this weekend! Road trip! I'm in Munich so it's a 4 hr (or so...) drive (heck I used to drive 5 hrs to BATUS to see an Open House). I really didn't know much about these places until I saw them here.

Thanks!
Jim

You might find these write-ups useful (with a nod to Massimo Foti for most of the photos):

Preserved Tanks in Switzerland

For example, both collections have tanks in locations other than the main display areas.

I was planning to visit Full on Saturday, May 2nd. I would love to meet you there. Let me know what's you schedule and if you think we could arrange something.

As for Thun, as far as I remember it's not accessible on weekends, only on normal working days.

Feel free to contact me by private message if you like.

Massimo

Correct, Thun is closed on weekends as it's an active army base and not a museum.

But you can also visit on Saturday morning this Museum in Wildegg, ca. 40min south of Full-Reuenthal and only open once a month: www.militaermuseumwildegg.ch
