Here's a photo of the IP M1 Tank and M113A2 APC at Ft. Indiantown Gap. I didn't find the M46 tank there, but had limited time to check the base. There is an M60A3 TTS MBT an EC130 Aircraft, and 3 helicopters all by the air field in front of the HQ building. I don't know where they have all the tanks today. Years ago they were in a central compound that now has trucks and construction equipment, I'd seen and photographed M60 MBTs (first model), M48A5 MBT, various M113 APC and variants.
I also have entered some photos of various XM1 and M1 Tanks in my photos. These are of variable quality since some were with a 126 camera and some with a 110 camera. I bought my first 35mm camera in 1982 and unfortunately did not have any lessons! Rick

Hey Rick -

We visited the base in March of this year and saw and photographed the M-46 as well as the PA National Guard Museum and the various base displays. Working on the gallery to post when I can.

We couldn't get close to the M-60A3 on display in front of the HQ bldg - the guard wouldn't allow us entry. Got some distant shots from across the street.

Hey VB, I like the photos you submit, aways nice and professional! I have a "sixth sense" about Guards and him I avoided, too close and he was watching my every move!
I was at Ft. Meade today (I think you've been there too) and had no Guard problems. I also got a Police escort to the Museum (It's been 20 years, so I asked, he offered!) The inside vehicles Mk VIII, FT17, and M3A1 light tank were in good shape. The outside items need glass, paint jobs, and shelter!
Next visit to PA, will hit the M46 Medium Tank (near museum, right?) at Gap, Maybe the M60A3, and do a little recon. as to where the AFVs are at! Also should be hitting Millersville, PA for the M60A3 there. I was trying to visit family and stop at as many bases as possible, being that I'm on vacation. Rick

Thanks for the kind words, Rick!

You're correct, the M-46 is outside the PANG Museum. The GPS numbers are N40 25.634 W76 34.079. We could only find the 1 M60A3 in front of the HQ bldg. Forgot to ask the museum staff about the other one listed in the registry.

If you're zipping around PA think about seeing the US Army Heritage Center and Heritage Trail in Carlisle, PA. Lots of great stuff to see. We've got a gallery of the Trail stuff in process.

Safe travels -
VB
