Illustrative of the failure of education. No appreciation of the relationship between electrical current and magnetism. You have to wonder what they think happens when they turn on anything with an electric motor (or conversely, where that electricity comes from when it isn't "stored"). This example simply not use a commutator, hence no changes in polarity that are typical of DC motors in actual practice.
Or, it could just be "magic".
