We could have just followed the coastline northward, but then we would never find out if there is anything interesting to be seen a bit more to the east. So again we do not follow the shortest way from Redcliff to Hervey Bay, another ORBX beauty in Australia.

Christmas isn't far away, but there should be some time left for a flight on Sunday!

See you all Sunday and Merry Christmas to those who can't make to the flight!

Since Bushys server is down we have to think about an alternative. I'm working on getting me to host the game via the FSX LAN-setup, I'll post later on if it worked out.

For communication we could join the ORBX server (directions here: www.orbxsystems.com/fo...rd-info/), I'll keep Skype on as well (Callsign viking_lead).

If everything fails I can direct you on a german server and site that belongs to a friend of mine which we could use also.

See you later!

Fella's, I'm trying to get back in town in time to start the server. It seems as if bad weather has caused the hickup. Wink

Hey guys, I'm sorry I wasn't there this afternoon. My wife and I have been dealing with a little family situation. Her Step-Mom was put in a nursing care facility 3 years ago with Alsheiners. Well, a week or so ago she took a turn for the worse and was put on Hospice care. For you Euro guys, that is a type of care specifically for making it easier for them to pass away, and to help the families deal with that passing. Last night we were going to see her and we received a call that her Dad hadn't made it to a scheduled appointment with her brother. We know he goes to see his wife every weekend and may have still been there. We called him and he was there, and had been since around 2:00 pm, and that whe had taken a turn for the worse. We hurried our trip out there, and joined him. We just got home this evening at 20.20. She is still with us, but will probably only be with us for the next day to day and 1/2, so will prbably pass on Christmas morning. Of course it makes for a lousy Christmas Holiday as her mom passed away on the 4th of December 15 years ago. We have a lot to do in the next few days in preparation for the funeral and for what ever holiday activities we will have.

I guess it finally happened, We just got a call, she just passed. Got to go.

Well we got home last night around 1130 pm and the call was correct, she had definately passed away. Most of us have been pretty prepared for it as they said she would only have 2 - 5 years left when whe was diagnosed, and she lasted 3. The timng wasn't the best, but when the body says enough and the good lord says it's time, there's no arguing. The funeral is being arranged for Friday. I won't go to work until after the 1st of the year now.

I hope everyone has a Happy Holiday season, and I plan to fly with you next week.

May I offer my condolences to your family, Wingnut, during your time of loss. I, too, am starting down that path with my parents.

Merry Christmas to all, and my wishes for a Happy New Year in 2013. We had a nice flight, Gunter, Fled, and I. We made our way from Redcliff to Hervey Bay. Gunter flew in a Lancair, and I was trying out my recent acquisition of a Carenado C-185F. Sorry, I don't remember what Fled was flying, at the moment. (My brain cramps up sometimes.)
