1930ies Danish Army Armour

At the top are two experimental armoured cars (FP 1 and FP 2) based on commercial Ford AA trucks. The "armour" is normal iron plates and the 20mm Madsen cannon is hidden behind the top-shields, that had to be removed to operate the gun.
The were later rebuilt with roofs and turrets.

The lower pictures shows FP 2 in 1945. It had been stored by the Germans in Copenhagen and was found by members of the resistance when the Germans surrendered. It was later handed back to the army and used for training, but scrapped ca. 1948.

The middle pictures shows an Alvis-Straussler AC3 that the Danish Army had on loan in the winter of 1937/38. The armoured car besides the Alvis is FP 7, a Büssing-NAG based Landsverk L-180 of which the Danish Army had two, bought in 1936.
