#1: M4A3 in Grandville MI Author: Walter_Sobchak, Posted: Sat Sep 14, 2013 4:30 am ---- Today I took some pictures of an M4A3 on display outside of American Legion Post 179 in Grandville MI. This tank is labeled as "1942" on its hull. It is worth noting that this vehicle has the early version 56 degree front glacis with extra armor plates over the driver and hull gunner hatch bulges. Also, there is extra armor welded on the sponsons to protect the ammunition storage areas. The rear hull has a hole in the upper right-hand corner. Pictures here.
