Dear Sirs,
I am looking for information about military police units that were equipped with armored cars M5. These vehicles are known as T17 Deerhound.

Also I am interested in information on alleged tests T17 armored cars during the fighting in Africa.

P. S.
Books of Steven Zaloga and other authors I know.

This is a fascinating vehicle. Over 250 units were made and used by Military Police units stateside then eventually being sold off to country's in South America but very few photographs exist!

I had no idea that this vehicle saw U.S. service. Me own pappy had an M20 under his command in Italy during the '45 occupation, but no mention of Deerhounds overseas.

About service T17 at MP writes in Catalogue of Standard Ordnance items ... on page 57. Product refers to the minutes of the Ordnance Committee Meeting (OCM) number: 16987, 17091, 18229, 19780, 20680, 21002 and 22818.

Reportedly were unarmed (?), so probably not used to protect air bases. It also amazes me the sheer lack of information about military tested in Africa, which was about six machines tested in battle.

Does anyone have copies of these OCM?
