M88 ARV range at APG

To sort of give an idea of what was on the M88 ARV range at Aberdeen, here's a photo. In front is a M42 40mm SPAAG, in background are two M48C tanks, a M113 Ambulance variant, and a M59 APC. The vehicles I saw there were: M67A1 Flamethrower tank, M103 tank hulls (minus turret), T48C and M48C tanks, M74 ARV. The area was infested with small frogs and usually a vehicle dragged around this swamp ended as scrap. Rick

The M67A1 Flamethrower tank was in even worse shape! The M88 Range is gone, probably moved to Ft. Lee with the Ordnance School. Rick
