The famous Panther tank in Breda has a bleak future, the Panther that was given to Breda in 1945 by the Polish liberators of Breda.
Will be going to the scrapyard because the budget for the panthers upkeep is getting to high in this time of crisis.
The Panther was restored in 2004 by Kevin Wheatcroft in exchange for the engine and gearbox because the inside was still intact and complete. Practically all parts of the tank are overhauled and preserved by a special coating. Also, the tank is placed on a pedestal to protect the bottom from moisture.
But after years of outside in nature's elements the tanks is in desperate need of a new paint job..
And that this Panther is the only Panther Ausf D left in the world. those not matter to the community of Breda, it's a money problem so the tank will be sold of the metal scrapper for the metal or to a private collector.
