The GoldenWings 3 addon (or mod?) for FS9 by the Lyons and friends is absolutely outstanding. This '30s vintage adaptation is simply stunning.
I can not say enough good things about it. For an "authentic antique avaitor' this is THE sim.
I stumbled across it in another forum and downloaded it, then installed and have not stopped flying it since. Like some others I now say "what other sim?"

Four of us from the 62nd Pursuit flew Navy formation (same sky, same day) around rural central Texas last night flying the Stearman BT-13As in GW3. The younger guys (50ish) had trouble finding the grass landing fields. What a blast!
We are considering alternating FS9 and GW3 for our Wednesday night flights. It's certainly a change of pace.
We still use CFS2 for an occasional air race or shoot-em-up.
