In an e-mail sent by CSM Ricky Pring, CSM of the 11th ACR to CSM (Ret) Don Horn, Honorary CSM of the 11th ACR, Pring indicates that the Regimental Units are performing superbly! The 2nd SQDN which deployed first has moved into their area of operations and are conducting combat operations. The 1st SQDN is in Kuait drawing and testing equipment and will be moving to Iraq shortly into their area of operations. Both SQDNs will be working for other brigade sized units and will not be under the command and control of the Regiment. The Regimental Hq is forming the core of a Divisional HQ which will be commanded by a MG under the 11thACR Colors. Pring will be the Division CSM and COL Bayer, the RCO will serve in a high level position in the Hq.

Not bad stuff, for my lil' ol' Cav Sqdn. and not surpizing that the 2nd Sqdn is first to the scene...and all squdns' operating subordinate to larger units...even the big guys need a "hammer" now and again...
