T1E2 - sometimes refered to, erronously, as the M1

Thanks, Jim. Who built it? What was it's service life, if any? See any WWII time or was it overtaken by the M2? Looks like it's lineage may trace directly to a truck.

Cunningham/Rock Island Arsenal built it - there must have been at least 17 as I have an image of 4030. They should be looked upon more as developmental vehicles particualarly as regards the half-track mechanism - they finally got it right on the T1E3. T1E2s were still in service in 1937 and were probably replaced around 1938-1939 by the T7 half-tracks.
