I visited the KC WWI museum this past spring. Unfortunately, I only had a couple hours to spend there. If you have a chance, I highly recommend visiting the museum. A LOT of interesting artifacts & information that do a good job of telling the story of WWI. I plan on visiting again next year but setting aside a lot more time for it.

Yes, quite a bit for the size of the museum. I want to say maybe a dozen examples, including some smaller naval guns but could be way off on that. IIRC, there were also some examples of trench mortars and, of course, heavy machine guns, rifles, clothing, gear, etc.

The Kansas City Memorial Museum is certainly great for its artillery collection. However, as you say, most of the collection is in storage. Strangely, the pieces are stored in an underground storage area, which had been a mine of some type. The lighting is very poor, as you can imagine but I have seen the total collection.

The former Curator restored the 15cm sFH 1893 and the 15cm sFH 1902. These and a few other pieces are on display within the museum. Somewhere, I have the total list of pieces. These are the German pieces, to my memory:

7,7cm lFK 1896 n/A
7,7cm lFK 1916
10.5cm lFH 1898/09
10.5cm lFH 1916
10cm Kanone 1899
15cm sFH 1893
15cm sFH 1902

I also remember that they had several duplicates.
