Dear all

I have AFV Club NATO M41 kit, AFV Club etch brass, AFV Club individual track links.
Tamiya M41 Eduard Etch brass.
I have the 1979 Japanese magazine about the M41.

Ok what are the differences between all the M41’s versions?

Who still uses the M41?
What countries can I build? I.e. Taiwan, Japanese, Brazil or any other nation whom may have used them.
Just looking for something different to straight olive drab.

So M41 info please and detailed pictures..
Please remember I am limited what I can do my self and I have to build it using Tube Glue.
Thank you Ossie

Ossie, I sincerely hope your situation is going to take a turn towards a full recovery soon, I am keeping my fingers crossed.

Ditch the Eduard etch for the M41, I do not think there is anything in there that will help you on the AFV Club kit, especially since you have all the matching goodies already.

As for materiel, see my answer on your M52 post- I may even have a TM on one of the two but I am not sure.

I really love the Brasilian versions, M41C "Caxias", but they are heavily modified and there'd be quite a bit of bashing and scratch work involved. Probably don't want to go there. Pics are available if you want to tackle it, though.

I scratched a Cazador TUA version - got the images from

www.jedsite.info/tanks...eries.html

which has a heap of variants. Jed even sent me some larger versions of the images when I asked.

The first 1367 M41s produced were not equipped with a muffler for the auxiliary generator engine. The next 922 had a muffler installed for the generator engine on the right tank engine muffler, on the right rear fender. The heat given off from the main muffler damaged the auxiliary muffler, however, so later tanks had the generator engine muffler moved to the front right fender.

Accurate Armour makes a conversion kit for this version. I've had one on order for months now. *sigh*

WOW !!....!!? Shocked

I was just thinking the same thing..... Mr. Green

I wasn't gonna say anything, since I would have to admit to having paid money to see that movie, it was sooo bad.
