The green tint is probably a result of the fluorescent lighting which affects the color balance of the photo, much the same as incandescent lighting will cause a color shift to orange.
Your digital camera will have a menu with a color balance selection which allows you to select the lighting conditions you're operating under and the camera will then make the necessary correction.
