Now for the final touch, about halfway through it's simulated mission, he needs to release a plastic Bf109 model from the ceiling so it can slide down toward the bomber on a string while an electric motor drives the prop, and dry ice in the nose simulates smoke from the firing cannon and guns...

...then, an M80 pyrotechnic takes the Halifaxs' left wing off and a bladder of gasoline ignites, spewing flames and smoke (driven by the prop of the bomber)...the aircraft banks hard left and tiny figures emerge and pop 'chutes and Stoopy rocks his wings in ~Salute~

Soon, the fire department arrives to save the house....

...in the meantime, a 1/48 scale model of a PBY Catalina is tied via fishing line through it's left wingtip to a blade on the overhead ceiling fan, which is then set on "high" so Ascout can search for the survivors and pick 'em up out of the drink....(which is really just a blue bath rug on the floor).....

...at which point Mrs. Jefferson, having had enough out of Bernard and his unwholesome friends Stoopy and Ascout, calls the authorities for an involuntary committment and a good divorce attorney and files a "cease and desist" order against JG300.

The rec room is remodeled and all traces of the heroic air battle are lost to history...

Mrs. J. settles down with a twenty-something lifeguard and we go in search of new prey....

....with a slight pause between "missions" to take the leftover turpentine and Sterno gel we had from that F-105 Napalm Strike diorama (that ended with strangley similar results) and head down to the beach at oh-dark-thirty to slather and soak the wooden bench in the lifegaurd's shack with said chemicals, which will soon cause said lifegaurd to get a case of the red-hot's he won't soon forgit.......much to the chagrin of Mrs. J.....
