I've been combing the internet to find when exactly Friday's Victory Parade will be and where it can be watched. While I havent seen an exact time for Friday's parade, yesterday's practice parade took place at 10am Moscow time... Moscow is 8 hours difference from the Eastern US - so that would seem to place it at 2am Eastern US time.

Where to watch it is more tricky... Obviously I'd rather TiVo it on DirecTV somewhere (and watch it in the morning), but I have yet to confirm where it might be on - except perhaps for snipets on CNN, etc.

That being said, the RussiaToday.com website is promising to have it live: russiatoday.ru/news/news/24355 and there is a live video link on its front page...

The below article has info on what will be in the parade.

A number of pics from the practices have been posted over on TankNet

Dress rehearsal of V-Day parade due in Red Square Mon morning

05.05.2008, 03.50

MOSCOW, May 5 (Itar-Tass) - Moscow’s Red Square on Monday will see the dress rehearsal of the military march-past due on May 9, marking the 63rd anniversary of victory over Nazi Germany. As the public relations office of the Moscow Military District has said, there will be over 8,000 officers and men taking part.

The dress rehearsal, like the main event itself, will consist of three phases – the march-past by the foot troops, a review of selected wheeled and tracked vehicles, and a brief air show.

In compliance with the tradition dating back to the 1940s, a unit of drummers – all students of the Suvorov military school for teenage cadets – will be the first to march past the reviewing stand to set the pace for all units to follow – career officers undergoing advanced training at higher military academies and several battalions, including those of the airborne troops, the Marines and the Interior Ministry troops. Teenage cadets of the Suvorov and Nakhimov military schools and the Moscow Military District’s brass band will close the march.

Then, onto the cobble-stoned surface of Red Square there will roll 110 military vehicles, including 90 wheeled ones. All tracked vehicles have been equipped for the this occasion with “asphalt-friendly plastic-dressed caterpillars, so the damage to surface of Moscow streets will be minimal. Representing the ground troops in Moscow’s Red square will be the T-90 main battle tanks, BMP-3 and BTR-80 armored personnel carriers, mobile tactical rocket launchers Iskander, multiple rocket launchers Smerch and others. The Strategic Missile Forces will delegate to the show four mobile ground-based missile complexes Topol, and airborne troops, the BMD-4 combat vehicle and the smooth-bore towed anti-tank gun with a power propulsion unit, Sprut.

Taking part in the rehearsal of the parade’s air phase will be 32 aircraft – the well-reputed veteran workhorse Mi-8 helicopter, supersonic strategic missile-carrying bomber Tu-160, strategic bomber Tu-95MS (Bear by NATO classification), supersonic long-range variable geometry bomber Tu-22MZ, the world’s biggest strategic transport plane An-124 Ruslan, and Il-78 tanker planes.

Trainings for the parade at the permanent locations of the participating units and academies have been underway since March 11. Joint rehearsals began on April 22. There have been two night-time trials in Red Square already.

Yes, that is a good pic P-O!

Here's a fairly low-res video, but its the full parade - you may need to download to your hard-drive first & play with Flash player. It is narrated (sometimes annoyingly) in English:

There's also some on Youtube:
