#1: Fort Knox Question (WW2) Author: MarkHolloway, Location: Beatty, NevadaPosted: Sat May 24, 2008 9:48 pm ---- I noticed some pictures from Ft Knox in WW2 show "D-R" on the bumper number. Anyone know what that means?

Sometimes one also sees "delta" TC or "ATC" as in Armor Training Center before the DR
So some Vehices in photos show designations like "ATC-DR-C2" or such.
I have seen the DR designation on halftracks, M3 and M4-series mediums, M7 SP 105s, and M3-series light tanks

A wee bit before my time, but thanks for aging me prematurely by about thirty years!
