Frituur Zorro!
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

"A second life for old army trucks"
Just got my two volumes this morning.
They feature B&W photos of "recycled" WW2 vehicles, v1 US & British, v2 German, French, Italian & others.
Mostly wheeled, but a few half tracks.
Photos taken in the early 1970s, v2 has a few shots of the Trun scrapyard (M Murat's field?) that I've not seen before, the well-known Luchs, then a 10.5mm leFH 18(Sf) auf Gw Lorraine Schlepper(f), Sdkfz 7, Sdkfz 251 & a heap of Panther.
Dutch & English text.
The printing is excellent quality, profusely illustrated with good quality photos, showing how these vehicles had passed into civilian life, either as were (hey- a truck's a truck!) or modified to some degree (Cranes, buses, tankers, tippers, even a mobile chip van - Frituur Zorro itself!)

Reading the subject I was thinking why on earth is there a topic about snackbar Frituur Zorro.

In my town of birth was indeed a snackbar called Frituur Zorro, unfortunately not in a former military truck.

regards
