Recent Activities at 'Mother Knox'
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

Post subject: Recent Activities at 'Mother Knox'

Veterans from the 1944 Allied Battle of Ardennes, known as the Battle of the Bulge, visited Fort Knox Oct. 11. They were shown around post, the Patton Museum, treated to a vehicle display by Patton Museum reenactors, and a flyover by a C130.

Later the cargo plane dropped four parachutists onto the airfield, where visitors were allowed to speak with them and see the C130 after it landed.

The weather was chilly, rainy, and very overcast, which in some ways reminded some of the vets of their days in the Ardennes.

HI Steve! Hi Folks! - SteveC86 What was the purpose of that spring-loaded roller? That roller was to help the front end go through ditchs that the front wheels would, by themselfs, get stuck in.
