Post subject: Heavily modified Lama V4.

Here is a picture of my Lama V4.

List of mods are:

Installed CX2 canopy.

Modified front canopy with window screen for airflow.

Fabricated adapter so that CX2 booms fit chopper.

Installed Boomtown model 3 carbon fiber boom.

Fabricated antenna boom.

Fabricated shock absorbing boom support and added wide canopy shorings.

Replaced stock motors with aero-nuts supreme motors.

Replaced inner shaft with extended inner shaft and extended inner hub.

Replaced stock flybar with carbon fiber flybar.

Replaced stock servo arms with e-flite long servo arms.

Cut battery holder tabs and fabricated plastic tray with velcro for battery holder.

Fabricated carbon fiber pins to attach o-ring from boom to after cutting battery tabs.

Installed Boomtown indestructible skits.

Cut about 8 inches of wire from stock electronics to reduce weight.

Replaced stock blades with Durablades.

Added tracking tape to the blades to help align them and for visual effect.

You can view the entire album which shows the chopper as I worked on it here.

Looks nice. Have heard some good things on the Lamas. I have the Piccolo Fun & V.2. with Many mods. Both were tore up pretty good in crashes last winter indoors (attempts landing on the Kitchen Counter and Coffee table).

Now that it's starting to get cold again Been planning on doing some repairs and getting the indoor - Kitchen -> dinning room -> living room route going again.
