M47 Tank at Fort Riley, Kansas, USA
M47 Tank
S/N: 3137 (Stamped on top of both front tow lugs)
Location: Custer Hill Parade Field (corner of Shanks Street and Normandy Drive), Ft. Riley, KS
This vehicle has the rain gutters that indicate Italian service, but no data plates that show this. It has a bolted cover on the small idler mount at the rear. The vehicle was probably originally displayed in Germany, then moved to Ft. Riley with the 1st Infantry Division in about 2006.
