bovington trip
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

I'd like to see some of the British FV214 Conqueror. Just some overall photos (front/side and quarter views) would do for me.

Man, I would really like to be able to visit there some time - hopefully in the near future.

Would also like to get the Accurate Armour kit of one as well - but can't decide between a Mk1 or a Mk2. Think it would look good sitting next to an M103A2 tank (a future Accurate Armour kit that I'm looking forward to.).

Thanks!

If you have time, I'd like to see more of this:

Seen it on ebay a couple of times for big bucks! Interesting vehicle.

Any shots of the Sentinel would be of interest to me, especially if you could get a few of the drop tank on the back of it, I've never seen a good shot of the front side of it and how it's attached and connected to the main tanks.

Imperial War Museum has one as well. I still have an image or two lying around taken from when it was delivered to the madhouse... though I am not sure its still there - probably up at Duxford somewhere these days.

Cool

If you take the train from London and walk the 2(?) miles to the museum you should pass a small plaque marking the spot where T.E. Lawrence (of Arabia) crashed his motorcycle and died, May 19 1935.

The one at Duxford is different prototype, close but not the same.

Cheers,

Any towed anti-tank guns would be cool.
