When the farming gets tough.....
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

...the farmers get going.

"1952 McCormick Farmall Super C tractor. It spent its entire life on a tree farm in VT. "

Some may recall Farmall's being I-H, which was founded, I belive by Cyrus McCormick. Have used both. The ubiquitous "Cub", too.

Well, that's an interesting mod.

Yeah, Farmalls were made by International Harvester, before that, McCormick-Deering. Now they're Case-IH.

OT: Farmall's in the U.S. with "Culti-vision" had, in effect, right-hand drive. I wonder if Brit Farmalls had left-hand drive, just to be different? Laughing

A lot more of these were sold than anything else in that period, but nothing putt-putted like a John Deere (or looked as good). I managed to let one roll into a tree once when I left it out of gear.

I knew a fellow who tried to replace a team of horses with one of those tracked tractors for collecting sap in the maple sugar bush. It was less than successful. The horses were smart enough to move from one tree to the next. The tractor never learned how to move by itself.
