AAVR7A1 fitted with EAAK?
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

Post subject: AAVR7A1 fitted with EAAK?

I'm building the 1/72 Dragon AAVR7A1 and foolishly did some mid-construction 'research' that indicated that AAVR7A1s are not fitted with EAAK.

I wasn't planning on using the EAAK that comes with the kit but the AAVR7A1 hull has the EAAK attachment points. Do I have to remove the attachment points (I carefully avoided damaging any when filling and sanding gaps between the hull components) for an accurate AAVR7A1?

Christophe Jacquemont pointed out that the box art has a photograph of an AAVR7A1 with the EAAK attachment points.

It seems that while AAVR7A1s do not have EAAK, late model hulls may have the attachment points.
