Hi guy's, I'm new to this site. I've loved the Aero Commander since I was a kid growing up in Dallas, Texas, USA. I've been Flight simming since the early days of Flight Simulator. Started on an old Commodore 64 with a little 4 inch screen. I'm amazed how far things have progressed since then. Most of my flying lately has been bush flying in Alaska in the Misty and Tongass Fjords area. My favorite plane is the Aerosoft DeHavelland DHC-2 Beaver Amphibian.
When I was a kid I used to hang around a little airport near my home. That is where I saw my first Aero Commander. I loved the looks of this plane. I took pictures of it and hung them up in my room. I ran across a video of Tongass Fjords which showed an Aero Commander flying around Sitka Alaska. I had to have that plane. My search led me to this site. I downloaded the Aero Commander package, and while the graphics are not as good as some other planes, there still a joy to fly. My favorite of the bunch is the AC 520 Texan model. It is a joy to finally be able to fly the plane I admired as a young boy. I have posted a couple of videos of me flying the "Texan". Landing at St. Barts, and Saba near St. Maarten in the Carribian. I had the privillage of visiting St. Maarten a few years ago and it's a joy to be able to fly there in flight Simulator.
