Millwood Lake and state park Arkansas is served by the small Glenn Winchester Airport 2AR6 (N33* 48.30' W93* 58.85') and the "Eagle's Nest" is at MINUS(!) 4,457' in a crevasse approachable from two directions.
Millwood Lake and state park Arkansas is served by the small Glenn Winchester Airport 2AR6 (N33* 48.30' W93* 58.85') and the "Eagle's Nest" is at MINUS(!) 4,457' in a crevasse approachable from two directions. On a heading almost exactly due south from the airport, 180, there is a road that enters a narrow crevasse that plunges steeply and crosses an eastern finger of the lake. The anomaly has produced a sunken lake (and the world's largest/deepest waterfall) some 15,000' below sea level. An Iron bridge will be seen at the bottom of the sunken finger with a Secret base located inside the crevice. You can fly through it with small fixed wing A/C, but landing is by Helo only. |
