One of my favourite aircraft.
I was on an aircraft which was escorted into Cyprus by two of these in 1978.
The airport (Larnaca? LCA) was operated jointly at the time by military and commercial enterprises.
They came in behind us and held station alongside until the very last moment.
Could see the whites of their eyes, as they were very close.
Beautiful jets.
Not been back so don't know if that's still the case today.
