Il2 1946 4.08 to 4.09 problem

Post subject: Il2 1946 4.08 to 4.09 problem
I'm running 4.08m currently and have attempted to patch to 4.09M but the game will not execute once patched to version 4.09m. Runs great on version 4.08m. I've downloaded 4.09m from this site and many other sites and all result in same problem...game just won't start once patched to 4.09m. Confused
I'm not running any 3rd party mods.

do you run this game on steam? if so, the browser link at installation is set at ubisoft. it should run like program files\steam\steamapps\common\IL 2 Sturmovik 1946.
