Please read this Microsoft Link if you are running Windows XP Service Pack 2 and that are equipped with multiple processors (read Hypertrading / dual core) that support processor power management features may experience decreased performance.

Wink

I have shamelessly copied this from the VOZ forums and applied it myself, it works a treat.

OK... How am I to know if I need to apply this? I have XP with SP2 and run run a AMD dual 5000+ processor. I am not sure if this supports power management. Then also is this a self installing fix? If it messes up can I restore to an earlier date or will it require a complete reformat?

Homey,

this "fix" is only for Intel processors,
so if you have AMD ...................... DON'T use this.
