The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

Hi Rick Most likely the R stands for Rohrnumber ( barrel number ) But I can't 100 % prove this Walter

Do we have a way to differentiate 8,8 cm guns build in Spain under license from guns build in Germany? Massimo

Normaly they have no R-number but often it says No.256 for instance and the year will be up to in the 1950's Walter
