SS Armor on the Eastern Front book
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

Post subject: SS Armor on the Eastern Front book

Just a couple of things to note.
The lead Pz.IV on p.258 seems to have a field-fit armour plate on the turret top, similar to those on the panthers in 'Panzerwrecks'. Never seen that before!
The StuG "IV" on p.286 (upper) is of course a StuG III (guess he had IV on the brain from the previous pages Smile )
Not sure about his comment on angled schurzen p.291 (lower). I thought they could all be angled in unless they were sporting ostketten...
Can anyone ID the unit badge on the fender of the Nashorn? (larger pic.on p.292).
Overall, an excellent book, just thought I'd share.
Cheers, Dave
