YSCH Coffs Harbour Released

Friday, November 07, 2008 (18:31:33)
Orbx is pleased to announce the immediate availability of YSCH Coffs Harbour Airport, the first payware GA airport the company has released.
Coff's Harbour is a beautiful coastal city on the northern NSW coast, with a major regional airport nestled beside the beach, and the picturesque township, harbour and marina is surrounded by beautiful ranges and rural pastures.
The Orbx rendition of YSCH has been made using 22cm/pixel aerial photos taken in 2008 and licensed from Coffs Harbour City Council to produce a regional airport with superb ground clarity.
Orbx also includes a 5m custom terrain mesh for the entire area. Additionally, lead developer John Ross has paid many visits to the airport to take photos of all the buildings, terminals and hangars within the airport precinct.
The result is truly a stunning airport which is as real as being there!
YSCH is designed to be seamlessly blended into Orbx's AU GOLD region.
you can purchase at: The Flight Sim Store

Finally, after a couple months of work, the CC Bush Flights Total Scenery Package is complete and ready to download! This package includes literally everything you need to see all ninety (90) Shocked sceneries that I've created in the Glacier Bay area.

New stuff in the package includes Afcad files for all non-stock airport locations allowing use of the "Go To Airport" function as well as the Flight Planner, and if you have FSNav and run the DBC program they'll show up on the FSNav screen as well!

ORBX ~FTX AU GREEN~

Thursday, October 02, 2008 (23:09:38)
PRESS RELEASE

October 3rd, 2008; For Immediate Release.

Orbx is pleased the announce the release of FTX AU GREEN, the largest and most complex custom landclass terrain region for Australia to date!

A massive technical challenge for the team, Holger Sandmann's innovative use of GIS data has resulted in one of the most diverse geographical regions ever constructed for flight simulation.

FTX AU GREEN begins at the Pacific Ocean on the tropical far north Queensland coast, extends across to Darwin and the "top end", and finally meets the Indian ocean on the western side of the country.

Containing the Great Barrier Reef, the lush tropics, the rich northern wilderness and the harsh red central desert at its southern border, it is a vast, magical, chameleon-like area with a kaleidoscope of colour.

FTX AU GREEN is a landclass and texture tour de force and will take months to fully explore.

Please visit the Orbx website at fullterrain.com for more information.

Saturday, December 15, 2007 (05:43:30)
FSX Service Pack 2 (SP2) Update is now available

The second performance update / service patch for Microsoft Flight Simulator X is now available for download. This is the same update that was included as part of the "Accelleration" Add-On. Like SP1, this is a free self-installing download that offers performance gains as well as a "DX10 preview" mode for users who have both Vista and DX10-compatible video cards (most notably the NVidia 8800 series).

To read more about it as well as some pro's and con's, see the forum post HERE
