The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

Post subject: For the modellers amongst us

Looks to be a great year for AFV Modellers with some long overdue kits to fill in missing gaps.
Most notable to me are:

AFV Club
Mk V Centurian (Austrlian SVN)

DML
M4A2 Marines Tarawa (apparently a 56 deg hul with welded hoods and NEW early turret

SHERMAN III - (soon) apparently not the same as the above variant (cast hoods? - it is not a dv with M3 suspension.

M4A3 HVSS 76mm

Plus the obligatory hoard of German stuff including 234 AC's and 38T variants. They are also redoing the JS2 and most of the German stuff with new PE and turned barrels etc.

Italeri

Saharina AC
Skdz 140/1
ELCO 35th Scale PT Boat (I kid you not)
Italian Chariot with Divers 35th

Given that the main Toy Fairs are still to come it looks to be a bumper year for Armour releases
