I just downloaded some of the FSX aircraft available from this site and the only one that does not corrupt is the Connie. The Ac50 and so-on just give me a white screen when I try to load them Neutral

Any i deas?

Ugggh!!!

Unfortunately I haven't had this white screen....and doggone it since I made the Aero Commander FSX rollup, it works on my system. This is a full-white screen for everything, or just the planes?

I hate to say it but personally I'm at a loss right now as to what could cause this. How about some addon planes for FSX from the AvSim or other sites?

Oh....just out of curiosity (it shouldn't be required)....did you apply the FSX SP2 update yet?

It makes the whole screen white when I boot up a free flight....and sometimes locks the ole girl up for a reboot Confused I installed all the prop fixes.

I'm fully patched to SP2. The connie is awesome though.

Hmmm,. I have a theory that maybe it's associated with the added custom views. Those are assigned using a GUID number that has to be unique or else unpredictable things can happen. THese are extremely long semi-random numbers, but it's possible that you have something else that just has a duplicate GUID, I'm wondering. - let me make a revised config file for one of the planes and we'll try it. I'll write up some instructions on how to pop it into place, and PM you to try, give me a little time.

Ok I figured this out.

After reinstalling everything and checking my planes after every little tweak, I found that it was when I had "Light Bloom" Checked that I had my problems occur.

Again this was only with the addon aircraft not the stock aircraft.

Thanks again Stoopy for your help Cool

Anytime although I didn't do much - just ruled out the GUID view thing I guess.

Nice find, and that light bloom can be a frame rate killer anyway!

Glad that you're back in teh air in style!!

the "light bloom" option is a frame hog, only use it if you want to make some screenie, but in normal flight leave it off
