What is that ?
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

Might it have been used on rail or trolley tracks for patrolling?

Warning: NO 'STRIPES' references, especially the 'EM 50'.

(Although it does sorta look like an early prototype....)

I am pretty sure I have seen one of those, if not that exact one, in Thailand or the Philippines. Can't remember which one.

One of the two negatives appears to be flipped (can't say which is right), but I think you nailed it!

Probably out of service when I got there. Did see a few steam trains with armored cars as part of their making up the the train, but nothing that could have functioned independently. These look like they have their own locomotion capability, so are probably before my time.

Those turrets on the second pic look like the ones from Ferrets and Saracens. It is English made?
