A glimpse in the Motor Pool (Ft Benning)
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

Don,
Were comes this T-55AM2 from? I have only two T-55AM/AM2s in the USA (Portola and Nokesville). It doesn't look former Iraqi either.

Probably missed it somewhere in the messages....

Regards,
Lesley

Lesley

I'm not sure. I do know they have received vehicles from APG & Ft Snelling as well as transferred vehicles from Infantry Museum there at Benning.

This last group of vehicles looks like they came from Aberdeen. The M67A1 Flamethrower for sure. Any idea how they figure splitting the APG Collection? Seems like they are scattering it aomong various bases. Rick

What is this vehicle? Appears to have the turret/mantlet/gun of an M8 Gun Motor Carriage on one of those marine amphibious thingies.

The Armor Museum Library remains boxed up and stored in a basement on Ft Benning.

This M22 does not have an original turret. Looks like it came from a M3 Stuart, with a fabricated fake mantlet and gun.
