SdKfz 6 - 7 - 8 - 9 - 10 and 11 - Survivors Register
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

Thinking of this, I know that the Falaise museum owner is restoring a SdKfz 11, then the chassis used for the restoration could be the one seen above??

Thanks for the information P-O.

Anyone going to be in the Falaise area soon so it can be confirmed if it is still there.

Regards

Richard

I was there few weeks ago and it was not at this location anymore (i.e. stored outside, in the field behind the museum with all the other wrecks), but it could be stored indoor and I have no access there.

I remember having seen this chassis at Falaise few years ago. It could well be in 2009, because I took some photos of the chassis with my most recent camera, which I bought in June 2008.

Sd.Kfz. 7 for sale:

Krauss Maffei KM11 Sd.Kfz7 8 ton half track prime mover for sale as restoration project.
Early serial number indicates 1938/9 manufacture and believed to be from Norway.
Project consists of chassis complete with tracks and road wheels - all turning freely, front wheels, steering, winch, cylinders, front bulkhead, front cab section, rear carriage rack, dashboard and some body panels including bonnet, floor plates etc.
Gearbox present but missing some internals and there is no engine or rear body. There are also some spare parts including a large quantity of road wheels (enough for a second vehicle?), half shaft assembly, bulkheads, body panels and some other parts included plus some of the manuals and I may be able to assist with the location of some other parts.
Original configuration would have been as artillery prime mover for the 88mm with the pioneer body but at this stage is suitable for conversion to workshop truck or even flakverling variant.
Reluctantly offered for sale due to personal circumstances, price £55,000, may consider WW2 German motorcycle or artillery piece in part exchange
