StuG 40 Ausf.G from private collection. Riga, Latvia. Engine and another internal equipment in bad condition, need restoration.
Also on the photos remains PzKpfw IV Ausf.H or Ausf.J, same location.

Thanks Taranov for this update. Any idea where this StuG could come from? (a lake or a swamp, a former private collection or museum etc..)?

From swamp, i think.
Rebuilt from two stugs, as i can see. Looks like late series vehicle with remote controlled MG mount, but with old gun mask without coaxial MG and early MG mount - with shield.

Since late 2007 the G-13 is no longer in Morges's artillery museum.
As far as I know it was donated to a french museum, since in Morges there was no way to store it indoor.

The Morges's museum is still worth a visit since it keeps some esotic swiss artillery.

Hello Massimo,

welcome on the board and many thanks for the update. Any idea where this tank could be located?

I was there on a sunday trip and asked, they weren't able to tell me the exact destination, they just told me it was going to be restored and displayed in a better way in a french museum (it was stored outdoor in Morges).

You may try to write them directly:
www.chateau-morges.ch/

Hope it will help

Moving to Pz IV, the one in Bovington may looks like an Ausf. G, but it isn't. It's, most likely, an upgunned and up-armoured Ausf. D.

If you look at the shape of the front hull and the commander's cupola you would recognize it as an earlier variant.

Hello Massimo and Dontos,

Massimo, I'll add that the G-13 at Morges was given to a French museum and add information about its new location as soon as I get it.
For the Pz IV at Bovington, you may be right.. I don't know about the exact type... I'll try to see what I can find but I'm not really a Panzer Ausführungs specialist.

Dontos, thanks for the 2 pictures. They seem to be both quite old and I wonder if the FT-17 on the colour picture is still there. I'll also try to find more about it.

Hello P O,
you can add one more Czech Cromwell to your list of survivors.
She is in private hands, still without engine and with turret made of concrete plates on metal frames - but the aim of those guys is taking her to running order!

This is ex CSIABG Cromwell Mk.V, later used as surface coalmine excavator, heavily modified, stripped of turret and electrically powered (you have already added hull wreck - that was "as found" status of her sister).

Rare Sherman variants : M4A3E2 Jumbo, M4A1 Sherman Calliope, M4A4 Sherman HVSS experimental, Flamethrower Shermans :

Incredibly, I didn't find any photo of the 3 existing CWS-POA-H5
Shermans Flamethrower, maybe someone could help? Some other photos are missing, have a look at the end of the file please.

Hello Lesley,

I don't know why but I can't see any text or picture on the link that you provided. The cause may be that I'm not registered on this forum..

Hell Neil,

than ks gor the information. That's right, there is no LT-35 on the CZ territory for the moment. It's quite amazing to see how the Aberdeen vehicle collection is progressively going to other countries (Germany, CZ etc..) because a lot of the ex-Aberdeen vehicles were donated or are on loan..

I think that this Lt-35 was most probably given to the tank museum at Lesany.

P-O,
I understand the Aberdeen LT-35 has been given to the Czech Republic. I'm trying to confirm the details, including what museum it is going to. I am a little annoyed it appears the Ordnance Museum was told the Czech Republic didnt have one... But I have all this second-hand, trying to get confirmation of the exact details...

Neil

P-O,
What about the LT-35 runner you had in your file?

I think that you're talking about their running LT-38.. they definitely don't have any LT-35 on their territory.
