Syrian PanzerIV, shows its original owners
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

True, but I believe most of the Syrian Panzer IV's were delivered from Czechoslovakia so this tank might be one of them.

They came from Czechoslovakia and are J hulls, but use D turrets with a L/48 gun.

Most, if not all, Syrian Panzer IV's came from Czechoslovakia.
Here you can find some pictures taken in Lesany around 10 years ago. You can see their Pz IV before restoration. The configuration clearly matches the one used by the Syrians:

Nowadays the tank was restored to a more german-like WW II configuration.

I've never seen Syrian IV's with those types of lights before.
Something new!

Among other things, there were also T-34/85 with Notek lights:

And ex-German 15 cm sFH 18, rebored to 152 mm and with a muzzle-brake:

Interesting. But has it been re-bored?
here's another of the same species.

I have seen photos of a Hummel with a similar muzzle-brake

I am pretty sure it was rebored. The shield is another post-war modification.

Are you sure you have seen Hummel with a muzzle brake? Could be they were Nashorn or even Wespe? Can you post or link to such a picture?

Ta-da!

Prototype, I assume the production models ditched the muzzle brake.

First time I see such a thing. The caption says it's a prototype, but it could be it's just a retouched picture.

In case you are looking for Pz IV pictures, I can assemble a DVD for you, just write me a PM if you want.
