T25E1 Medium Tank and T26E3 (M26) Medium Tank.
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

The first two tanks are MV9 and MV9B (Museum numbers) and have Serial numbers: 30103269 and 30103291. These two vehicles used to be just outside of the restricted area, later the gate and guard house was moved to include them inside. I took these photos in 1983 and 1985. These according to Hunnicutt (Pershing, page 104) are 2 of the 40 T25E1's built. I think they may have been sent to Ft. Benning, GA.

The M26 Medium Tank that used to be on the "mile of tanks" road at Aberdeen was listed as: MCV-387 Registration # was 30129348. Gun was 90mm M3, #6530 with tube #3639. The listed serial # 1602 was taken from the data plate inside of the tank. Date of acquisition 6/20/1950.

In researching this tank at APG, I also found a 1965 Patent dispute over the shock absorbers on this tank. I'm not sure if it was ever settled.

Data above from the former US Army Ordnance Museum, Historical Property Catalog Work Sheet.

Here's the two T25E1s (including one misidentified as a T26E1)

Neil, Thanks for the updated views of both. Interesting weeds are growing all over them. Rick
