BTW, what happened in the first place?
Well, it gets kinda involved but apparently (rumour has it that), in the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said, Let there be light: and there was light....
Twisted Evil

Anyway, to cut a long story short; Some time later (Friday, May 6th 2005), I decided to go out and get fit on my shiney new Trek mountain bike and 60 minutes later found myself breathing through an oxygen mask, on a trolley, in Casualty, at my local hospital.

Nearly a year off work doing Physio-Therapy and learning to use my fretting hand again. Just because of a itty-bitty busted finger! lol.

Those of you with a sense of irony will be especially pleased that I achieved all this on a pushbike, after spending years telling my friends and relatives things like; "my motorbike is not dangerous" and "no, it will not be the death of me" and "it's not the bike, it's the rider".

*Sigh*
