I attacked a PIC which hopefully can be seen of the Italeri Opel Blitz reboxed by Heller to illustrate the question I have, namely, what are the boxes under the cargo bed area depicted in the artwork? The ones to the rear, the smaller rectangular ones are in the kit whereas the ones more foward, the larger ones, with the'X' stamped onto them, aren't included. Not a problem per se, but are all these for the battery or other stuff? THanks in advance for any insights, MK

I don't have a clue, having never seen a real one.

My guess would be something like US built trucks. One box has the vehicle batteries in it. The other one would have the vehicle tool set. Some basic tools and the jack. Possible a set of tire chains.

This is a Opel Blitz type 6700, when I'm not mistake, the S stands for single drive = only the rearwheels are driven. In about 1940 the A version is been put in production ( A for all wheel powerd ).
The boxes are ,like Roy a lingle said , for putting the toolkit , snowchains, enz in.
The X stamp in the larger box is just to strengthen the lid of the box. When you take a look at some pictures off the Opel Blitz you while notice that the boxes may been put in different manners or they aren't attached to the vehicule.

Not surewhat the box is for, but I like seeing the forked tailed teufel [ devil ] in the background, looks like Der Furher's Wehrmacht truck inventory is going to be minus one any minute Now!
