I just wanted to share something with everyone. I just got into this a couple of days ago and it's a great idea. I adopted a soldier overseas and will be writing letters and sending care packages. If anyone is interested in this program please check it out.

Great idea to post the link here Senyu.During the Viet nam war my brother and I wrote to a G.I. named Larry through the same sort of program ,Larry wrote really neat letters back to us kids and even sent pictures. I think that I am going to get on board cause I think that those fellas can use all the support that we can give them,Lord knows they deserve it.

Ironic...when my brother Joe was a kid, he kind of did the same thing with a soldier stationed out in the Middle East, they wrote letters and such, and I wonder if he still has the Arabian dollar. But now he turns 21 in a couple of weeks and already has served 2 tours in Iraq and Afghanistan and leaves for his 3rd in May. I really haven't thought about it much but he is almost in that same situation the soldier was in when he was a kid.

Sounds cool, I'll check that out. I have a friend over there, it's kinda hard knowing he might never come back.
