The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

Jeff, the color ones & some of the B&W are from the Ordnance Museum. They appear to be from differing eras. The first color ones appear to be late 40s early 50s, later color ones appear to be from the 60s or 70s.

Hi Folks!

Interesting collection! Maybe Hunnicutt's collection of refereces for his Sherman book?

Dennis;

The 'Mine Exploader' (can't think of the official name) Sherman ... that is the first actual picture I have seen of other than the assembly (T1E1 Earthworm) the Sherman pushes instead of riding on top of.

Are there anymore pictures of this special vehicle? I guess I need to 'pony up' the funds one day on the Hunnicutt book.
