The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

Thanks for that link, Bob.

That's an interesting, and nice, M151A1C they have at the Overloon Museum. Spent some time with those myself, though I don't think I've ever actually seen one with the windshield erected, or even mounted for that matter. Showroom display stuff.

Glad you like it Doug. Don Busack runs the website and is a great guy. He is a HEMTT lover and like me, a modeler, but with no time to model. So, I made a HEMTT M978 for him. It should show up on the website one of these days.

I don't know how he can store all those photos on one website, but you can be on it for hours just looking at all those photos. It is a great source for us modelers.

Just for heck's sake, here's what working M151A1C's looked like. This is a Steve Rauch pic of part of our "Dirty Delta" gunjeep fleet at Firebase Birmingham, including at least three A1C's. We weren't fond of windshields...most vehicles don't even mount them.

Later, we moved two guns onto M37 3/4 ton platforms (totally unauthorized), which were better than jeeps in every way for this purpose. This should have been done from the beginning by the Army, IMO.
