Beeeeutiful scenery and I have two questions...

1) Where does Marco's house sit and...

2) In what hangar is the B25.. Smile

Kidding aside. Looks like a great place to live! Smile

Lol, great pics, Wolter: I couldn't snap better ones!
(you're forgiven for borrowing my plane without asking, but just because it's you)

To Jerry's questions:

1) We're making huge effort so that our house stands up and doesn't sit, this is made applying pressure to walls to keep them vertical.
Wink
Here is where I am:

2) Our small airfield has small hangars, no space for B25's, not even a single one; presently I'm arranging a room to host a 1:48 model kit.
Mr. Green

If you look at Wolter's first and last pics, you'll see in the right background a high snowy peak: that's Gran Sasso, the higher mountain in the Appennini mountain chain (2.912 meters), and the Storch is historically bound to this place because it managed to land up there in the space of just a few dozens meters - and take off again, of course. I'll spare you the story of the circumstance.

Is that Captain Corelli in the passenger seat?

I was flying a Storch Sim recently don't know if it is the same one and it had one very unpleasant feature, it "tip stalls", not a criticism of the sim because the real plane might do that for all I know?

Best and Warm Regards

Adrian,

The storch is a fs2k2 converted to fs9 vailable at www.avsim.com and www.flightsim.com.
just do a search for Fieseler and it will show up all the relevant files and repaints.
Another thing of interrest, at the "Gran Sasso" there where lodgings where Mussolini was held prisoner towards the end of the war, he escaped from there thanks to a Fieseler Storch that was able to land and take off again from there.

fled

... and Gran Sasso (Big Stone) is at a stone (sic!) throw from where I live. Mr. Green

Regarding to Captain Corelli's Mandolin, I didn't see the movie yet, but judging from the collar badges, he wasn't a pilot, that is, he was not enrolled into the Aviation - black and yellow are the colours of artillery even nowadays.

Ciao!

Well spotted, my memory of the movie is a bit hazy but I think he was in the artillery. Though Italy has produced more than her fair share of skilled military pilots. Whilst on the subject of Films "The Red Tent" is one of my favourites!
