I was returning from Ft Eustis, VA. when I saw this aircraft beside Interstate 30, by Leary, TX. I believe it's an F-111 Ardvark but I took this picture while going 75mph. I make out the tail number to be 39768, is this what everyone else see's?
While at Ft Eustis, I visited Langley AFB and got quite a few good pictures of their display birds as well. If anyones interested in them let me know and I'll post them. I also have some of an F-100 Thunderbirds demonstration plane.

Looked at piccie without reading Bans reply and my immediate thought was Mig 25 Foxbat... lol ooops aircraft recognition needs work huh

I went to Joe Baughers site and found this info for the serial / tail number 39768;
"9768 used for ground training at Sheppard AFB as GF-111A. Shipped to RAAF Amberley for ground training in 1995. Now at RAAF Wagga in New South Wales used for ground training."
This makes me think the tail number is bogus?!?!

well heres one before repaint and fix up, theres no nose gear flaps so i guess this is pre restoration, no number on tail either so maybe they plucked one out from some other reference source for the repaint.
